Reggie’s picks to a Southern Sunday, start with all signs pointing to fun, southern food, sweet tea and quick views of my favorite homes for sale in Mt Pleasant, SC.

It’s January 2017 and it’s suppose to be the average temperature of 35degrees, but not today, it’s a sweet 70 degrees with a smell of crisp salt air as I make my way over the Ravenel Bridge to magnificent Mt Pleasant. A fun day of exploration begins at the foot of the bridge to take a sneak peek at the luxury high rise Renaissance condominiums for sale. I’m sweet on this pick because it is luxury to the hilt. A walk into the grand foyer mirrors a hotel lobby. Take an elevator to the penthouse level the greets me with a spread eagle view of the Charleston Harbor. 2 Bedrooms priced to sell under $650,000.

A block away, I show off my patriotic spirit. Stationed at the Charleston Harbour I take a walk in history aboard the USS Yorktown, the WWII aircraft carrier. I then stroll on the interconnected docks to the marina taking in drinks at the waterfront Reel Bar watching the boats sail by.

Mt Pleasant by bike is a great choice, cycling along weaving pathways darting from the Patriots Point Golf Links, to the Waterfront stretching a few miles to Sullivan’s Islands beach.

Next stop lands me in this enchanting tree lined Mayberry-like neighborhood “Old Village”. A step back in time. I sat at the old tyme soda bar for a famous chocolate malted milk shake at Pitt Street Pharmacy while waiting to pick up my prescription. I learned a little history sitting atop this stool that the oldest home built here in 1755, the Hibben House, stands gracefully a few steps away.

More southern charm discovered at the waterfront park Alhambra. One of my favorite places to read and contemplate under this magnificent oak tree with my therapy dog Quincy. A great place to meet the locals in the Old Village. You might spot a celebrity as I did when they were filming Army Wives.

I love the new Tides IV Condominiums located at the foot of the waterfront pier. Here is where you can experience the fun southern dance under the moonlight, shag on the pier. You can own a luxurious home here from $669,000. I am wowed by the stunning heart pine wood floors, stone features and an elevator that carries you from the garage right to your living room. A favorite Reggie pick!

Ending my day on Shem Creek with a tasty Southern Sunday sunset from the bow of my boat featuring late lunch of fresh shrimp right off the shrimp boat with a Scottish egg or two. I love this water spot for the daily excitement of spotting dolphin, kayaking and strolling on the new docks extending to the mouth of the bay. Gorgeous day in Mt Pleasant , SC. Come, explore on the next tour to see Reggie’s Picks.
